NSC | Why the Default Lead Time Set in Preferences Is Not Being Used?
Scenario:
A user observes that the default lead time configured in Inventory Management Preferences is not being used by the system. They want to understand why the system appears to ignore the preference setting.
Solution:
The system allows you to set a default lead time at the system level, but this setting only applies when no specific lead time is defined on the item record. If a lead time is entered directly on the item record, that value will take precedence.
