NSC | Shipping Cost Not Being Calculated

Scenario:

A customer reports that the shipping cost is not being calculated even with a shipping method selected and a valid shipping address provided, no shipping charge is being added to the transaction.

Solution:

If the shipping item is correctly configured and the shipping method is selected on the transaction, the issue may be due to improper setup of item weights in the item record. NetSuite uses item weight to determine the shipping rate when real-time carrier integration or weight-based shipping rules are enabled.
