NSC | Sales Order > Shipping Method Automatically Populates
Scenario:
The user is trying to create a Sales Order but notices that the Shipping Method field is automatically populated—for example, it defaults to UPS—even when they attempt to leave the field blank. The user wants to understand why this happens and how to prevent the system from auto-filling the shipping method.
Solution:
This behavior is usually caused by a default shipping method set, which the system uses to automatically populate the field in transactions such as Sales Orders.
How to Check and Remove the Default Shipping Method
- Navigate to: Setup > Accounting > Shipping
- On the Shipping Setup page, locate the field:
