NSC | SmartCount SuiteApp Installation Fails with Script Error
Scenario:
The user encounters an installation script error while trying to install the SmartCount SuiteApp and is unsure of what might be causing it.
Solution:
One of the known root causes of this issue is the existence of a user (employee record) in the system that has a negative internal ID.
This is usually the result of a legacy data migration or a system glitch that created placeholder or deleted employee records with negative internal IDs. The SmartCount installation script fails when it tries to reference users, and the presence of these negative IDs causes it to break.
