Scenario
User is about to process work order completion, but upon reviewing the details, they noticed that the Projected Value is displayed as 0.00, which is unexpected and incorrect based on the work order’s components.
Solution
The zero Projected Value is likely due to missing cost information for the components in the associated Inventory Cost Revaluation record. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Navigate to the Assembly Item Record
- In NetSuite, locate and open the Assembly Item record tied to Work Order Completion.
- Go to the Related Records Tab
- Within the Assembly Item record, click on the "Related Records" tab to view related transactions and records.
- Open the Inventory Cost Revaluation
- Find and open the Inventory Cost Revaluation record.
- Verify Component Costs
- Check the Inventory Cost Revaluation record to see if costs are assigned to the components. If no costs are associated, this explains why the Projected Value is 0.00 in the Work Order Completion.
- Edit the Inventory Cost Revaluation
- Update the Inventory Cost Revaluation record by adding the appropriate costs for the components. Save your changes.
- Wait for Cost Calculation to Complete
- After saving, allow time for NetSuite to process the cost calculation. This step may take a few moments depending on system performance.
- Check the Projected Value
- Return to Work Order Completion and review the Projected Value field. It should now display a value based on the updated component costs.
Once the Inventory Cost Revaluation is updated with the correct component costs and the cost calculation is complete, the Projected Value in Work Order Completion will reflect the accurate amount, resolving the issue of it displaying as 0.00.
