NSC | How to Check Discrepancy in Journal Applications
Scenario:
The user is investigating an issue involving two journals—Journal 001 and Journal 002—in which Journal 002 appears to void Journal 001. However, the application behavior and resulting balances are inconsistent and not fully understood by the user.
Upon reviewing Journal 001, the user observed that it reflects a total amount of $22,850.00 US Dollars. When checking the Related Records tab, it is shown that Journal 002 is applied to Journal 001. However, Journal 002 is denominated in 89,120.00 Pesos, which, based on the exchange rate at the time (18.55), converts to approximately $4,804.32 US Dollars.
This situation leads to a discrepancy: Journal 001 still shows an open balance of $18,045.68 US Dollars
