NSC | Newly Created Item > Cannot add unit of measure

Scenario

User is facing an issue where an item in NetSuite won’t allow them to add a unit, such as "Each," because no units type was specified when the item was initially created. Now, when they attempt to update the Units Type field to fix pricing types, they encounter an error. This is likely due to the "Primary Consumption Unit" field being missing or hidden on their customized Inventory Part Form.

Solution

To address this, you can use one of the following methods to successfully add the "Each" unit to your item:
