NSC | Prompting Users to Complete Account Setup for Non-Inventory Items
Scenario:
The user wanted logistics users to be able to create Non-Inventory Items even if they do not know the correct Chart of Account to assign. Instead of sending email notifications, the requirement was to provide an on-screen reminder or prompt indicating that Accounting still needs to complete or update the appropriate account setup.
Solution:
This requirement can be handled through a NetSuite Workflow or custom scripting on Non-Inventory Item records.
A workflow-based approach is recommended when the goal is to display prompts or automatically set default values without relying on email notifications.
