NSC | “Invalid or Empty Source/Transaction ID” Error in SCM Mobile App Attachments
Scenario:
The user encountered the following error while using the Upload Image functionality in the SCM Mobile App during Create Inventory or Adjust Inventory transactions:
“Invalid or Empty Source/Transaction ID”
The issue occurred when attempting to use the Mobile App Attachment feature after configuring image upload functionality.
Solution:
According to SuiteAnswers ID 1020104 – Troubleshooting Customizations, this error commonly occurs when the reference transaction configuration is not set correctly within the SCM Mobile customization setup.
To troubleshoot the issue:
- Locate the associated:
- Capture Image icon record
- or Upload File icon record
- Review the field:
- Reference Transaction State Path
- Verify that:
- The value is correctly configured
