How to handle CRM Promotion Codes and Free Items?
I have set up a Promotion Code linked to our SuiteCommerce Advanced site, giving a free item for orders over a threshold.
This works OK; when the order value passes the threshold then the free item is added.
However, the 'free gift' should only be available as part of the promotion. It seems the Item needs to be ticked to be available in the webstore for the Promotion to be applied correctly, but this means the Item can also be added to the cart manually.
I know I could put it on there with a ridiculously high price to discourage people from adding it manually, but it doesn't look particularly good to the customer.
