Does can deparment of Inventory item affect past transactions
Hello
Have a some bulk items which we need to change its department segment for Inventory items.
Items has years of past transactions, some items have stock balance, some does not have.
Department is mandatory for our GL and it post transactions to respective items GL code (Sales&COGS)along with its respective department.
I want to know if changing only the department value on the item code would update the department segment of past trasactions and/or the department value for the GL balances for Sales/COGS account.
