I just had a (gasp) proactive call from a support rep for the first time ever! I assume that you had something to do with that Evan; thank you! Very pleasant change, I hope it continues. Scary, Isn't it, Jon, but in a fabulously good way... ;) It happened to me not once, but three times in one day a few weeks ago- seems…

Well, I don't want to keep hammering a nail you don't seem to be interested in, but NS Partners are pretty much exactly "on demand support". It isnt that I am not interested in it, it is that I now find we are absolutely locked into a support contract that does not typically provide support. Knowing that we cannot drop NS…

If I am understanding correctly, then you do have something to worry about here. If you "inactivate" items with on hand value, they will not go away. They will sit there- probably nice and quiet, and come back to bite you. You need to get rid of them. there are a couple ways you can do this. Andrew may be able to help here…

and who says support is not improving by leaps and bounds ....
-
WOW Angelelika- I would imagine that you should file an online case right away, and post it in here, so they can get on that- before it happens to the rest of us.
-
One should have gone out last night....hopefully we are back to normal, and they will go out daily. If anyone did not recieve, please reply. We aplogize for the interuption in service. James Dantow, Mgr of Support Hey- got it- thanks! These are very helpful when researching issues.

Suzanne, Thanx for the response..did you mean to say import? Thats what im trying to do ..import. Thanx, Jon In most imports- items, customers, leads, contacts, etc, the unique identifier is the same as the customer (lead, contact, etc ) name- these must be unique. (cannot have 2 customers of the same name) For contacts,…

I still have mine, try a different role? A different role, as opposed to an admin, that I work in daily?
-
I use this a lot- many many times throughout the day. I typically work within saved reports over and over for a few days, then move on to new saved reports. Having this ability saves me a lot of time as I did not have to filter through the entire list of saved reports. Where did it go? I still see it in my test databases-…

just hit 38 minutes on hold-

Oh I agree that an audit trail is a must! But that is after the fact. I want to prevent the problem in the first place, and gain a greater feeling of comfort in the data integrate and security. Oh and tell Krish0nan "thanks for high jacking my thread!" -Andrew OK, you have me on that one. I wasnt' arguing, just trying to…

Why can't you customize the System administrator, to lock them out of certain area's? Then it seems the only problem would be to keep them from assigning the admin role, and a saved search and alert would cover that, no?
-
maybe I was not clear, but it seems that if you give someone access to set up roles, they can assign access to any part of the system. Therefore, an assistant admin to help CRS and build roles for new employees could assign themselves or anyone else access to anything. The issue is when you give someone access to set up…

Definitely don't set any dynamic default. There is nothign special you have to do to these fields, other than make sure they store their value. The only thing I can suggest now is put message lines in the code to see that it is getting to each line etc. I removed the dynamic defaults- was just an attempt- no matter how…

I think this is an issue for larger companies, and catch 22 with NetSuite. NetSuite is One Fully integrated system, which we LOVE! But; as we grow our proprietary and financial data becomes more sensitive. In our case sensitive enough that finance “owns” NetSuite, not IT. We want to pass on some of the daily work to lower…

Sorry, off topic, but related, a audit trail of admin changes made and by whom would be invaluable. Like who created what custom field and when, who and when a role was created, edited, etc, etc. My account has had several consultants working on it, along with myself and an audit trail - yes please. Delegated admin, maybe…

Angela - 121957 is fixed for our 2007.0 release, NS will track changes to the credit hold field. I would still like to figure out why the script isn't working for you, and in particular if you need this audit trail before the next release I can work to help figure it out. I would have a QA person contact you directly.…

getting closer- if anyone else is following this as well, the only major difference is that I had to first go in to enable features, and enable server scripting- opened me up to a whole new world. anyway, I am now getting this error missing ) after argument list (trackCreditHold#11)

Angela, I do see your case that you submitted. The reason that you received that pop up box was because you selected a Product Area of Performance. For each Product Area, we will request additional information that will help us troubleshoot your problem or respond to your questions. We'll get someone to take a look at this…

May I ask where these are found? these system notes? or will they not be ready until the release? OK, I was not clear on exectly what system notes are. I did a search in the help guides, and found this. Searching System Notes You can search the history of a record's system notes in NetSuite to investigate changes that have…

I went in for a weekly check on the credit holds, found a bunch of them off again. However, this time, I cannot seem to find the field on mass update of customer records. Last week, I updated all records at once, to turn the auto hold feature to "auto", this week that is no longer an option. Am I missing something?
-
here is the exact script I am using, and my engineers say it is right. function trackCreditHold(type) { oldrec = nlapiGetOldRecord(); newrec = nlapiGetNewRecord(); if (oldrec.getFieldValue('creditholdoverride') != newrec.getFieldValue('creditholdoverride')) { newrec.setFieldValue('custentity_credholduser',nla piGetUser());…

I thought I would get cute and disable the "hold" field- once I updated everything to auto. Seems you can't do that on the forms. I cannot even make it not show. methinks I made somebody mad.....
-
good to know- one question down. I did figure out how to test this, so now, I just need to figure out all the details of actually using it. Although, when I test it, it seems I can't get the actual fedex info on the label...sigh... anyone?
-
my day is not a total loss Evan, I am about to oversee our physical inventory count for Q1, and my bins work beautifully.;)
-
Have you deployed the script for all users? Are all the fields set to "store value"? Does it work in any case of a change of the field (I only tested from going from auto to on). Thanks, -e Deployed the script for all users? how about I tell you exactly what I did do, because I don't understand what your asking: I created…
-
I need an update on this ASAP- I have been buried all week, and I just got an angry call - when I checked, I had a total of 48- yes 48 customers with their credit hold turned to "off" Until I can tell who is doing this, I have nobody to yell at but my dog. c'mon guys-what good is enforcing credit holds, if they can be…

-
Mass update was not working correctly, we had to disable it. However, it turns out that any kind of direct list editing on any field was changing the credit hold to auto. That may have been the cause of your mysterious unsetting. That issue has been resolved. Thanks, -e wow, Evan, for once it wasn't PICNIC? wonderful to…

no go. I even went back and recreated the script- copy and past- added 3 returns, tested- same error did it again with six returns- same error. here is the error log sent via e-mail- perhaps it makes sense to you? Date & Time: 3/30/2007 1:13 pm Record Type: Customer Internal ID: 2459 Execution Time: 0.00s Script Usage: 10…
