Hi, If you look in the log where you find the query sent to the source (OBIEE in your case), do you see a "LIMIT" clause inside the query?
-
Hi, What's the exact version of your MySQL ? Did you check the log file for more info than just the few words you get on screen?
-
Isn't it because one of the users also has some denials on accessing the catalog or the personal folder? Both users have exactly the same groups/approles?
-
No idea about these tools, but the simple way from an OBIEE point of view is to click on "my account" for both users and look at the list of groups and application roles and check if the list is strictly the same.

Must be on the top-right, where you see your login/user name
-
Hey, did you give up on this one? Would be cool if you could close the thread if it was solved ...

Hi, As workaround (waiting to find a better solution) you can use it in your browser: https://gianniceresa.com/2016/11/oracle-data-visualization-desktop-in-your-browser/

The process to get a cloud account? Go to https://cloud.oracle.com/home and keep your credit card ready ... If it's for support reasons etc. ask them in the SR you are working on or privately.

Hi, What version and on what OS of DVD are you using? In my DVD 12.2.4.0.0 on Windows (there is an update but still didn't install) I have a longer list than yours ...
-
There is not an evaluation version: it's the same version, so this isn't a reason. As far as I know the Mac version is limited, while the Windows version is full. Try to run it in a Windows virtual machine so you have access to all the feature.

Hi, Here on the public forum you will not get an ETA, or something like "sure, between tomorrow and some day in the next weeks/months/years". So if you want a better answer you will have to ask "internally" (in a not public place)

Did you delete all the files, including those in your C:\Users\<your username>\AppData ? Because DVD put lot of things in that folder (in 2 subfolders) and uninstalling is often just the binaries but not all the settings and data of the application.
-
I found it in few places inside /AppData/ but that was it. (But there it was in 3-4 places at least) So uninstalling, deleting any folder there around related to it, cleanup the disk to delete temp files etc and a reboot must be clean enough ... : what about a VM? At least you can keep working waiting to find out why ...…

Try pinging Adam and the team internally to see if they want you to run some diagnostic or collect some logs on that.

Hi, Did you look at logs when doing things? If you talk about "reports" I assume the connection is setup fine, so look at the logs to see what query is sent to Essbase, run it by hand yourself and check if it works, look at any other info in the logs.

In OBIEE 11.1.1.9 there is a setting which isn't enabled by default to use HTML5 instead of flash. So you maybe have to configure it that way (assuming you have access to config)

Only Oracle knows the plans and reasons for the Mac release. Of course being a tool to install on your local workstation/laptop they need to cover the 2 most used system (so I do not expect to see a linux version as I never heard of a business user using linux as it's main OS at work). The thing being that DVD is highly…

Thanks Adam for the feedback At least now I have a better argument to answer to that kind of questions instead of my theories on the development of DVD.

StuMoffitt wrote:Please don't lecture us on what OS to use. macOS has superior qualities in many regards. That's why DVD doesn't work on it </sarcasm> I'm not going to start a fan-boy or troll discussion on "mine is bigger" with Windows vs. OS X, let's stay on facts. It's a fact today you can't install DVD on High Sierra.…
