OAC RDG based connections should display while saving data options in the database Dataset
Organization Name
Oracle
Description
Idea: RDG based connections are displayed while saving data options in the database. Expecting to perform insert/update data into an on-prime Database.
Current feature:
Created a Data Flow --> choose source data --> Click on Save Data --> Save data to --> Database Connection --> RDC DB Connections details are not visible.
Reviewed product documentation and understood save – database connection option writes data flow metadata to a database table
However in Database connection using Data gateway currently SELECT & Alter session, while insert/update is not supported as of now
Product Document:
Please refer the section Configure and Register Data Gateway for Data Visualization from below URL
Hence, currently, non-rdg based connections are displayed while saving data options in the database.
Exceptions: RDG based connections are displayed while saving data options in the database.

The remote data gateway is optimized for moving data from on-premises to the cloud. If you are moving the data, is there a reason this cannot be written to a cloud source?
