As an Oracle SCM Cloud user, I want to manage custom BI report catalogs so that I can ensure the reports I use are set up.  I would like my customers to be able to grant outside parties, i.e. me, permission to update specific folders on their behalf.  When managing my custom BI report catalog, I need the ability to:
- Import a catalog of custom BI reports that I use to fetch data
- Synchronize the catalog in a way that does not require manual intervention
- Verify BI report compatibility with new Oracle releases.

Why now?  In the 20D release, the ability to use dynamic SQL to manage this process is being deprecated and it will become difficult for customers to upload and manage custom BI report catalogs

Use Case and Business Need

 

Custom BIP reports are required to ensure that my product can continue to interface using the custom BI Reports and import a catalog of custom BI reports that I use to fetch data, synchronize the catalog in a way that does not require manual intervention, verify BI report compatibility with new Oracle release.

More details

It is important for my company to continue to interface using  those custom BI Reports.
