Description

I would like to have a list off metrics to show in my dashboard. Based on my selection you see this in a line graph or other type off graph. Some for the dimension value. So that the graph is dynamically based on the selected dimension and metric. So in obiee this should be possible with the column selector & view selector. The view selector would be nice that if you choose a specific metric that you see an other graph for example then with the other metrics.

Use Case and Business Need

Make 1 dashboard with multiple angles to use your data without have the need of multiple tabs or dashboards.

More details

Currently this is only possible with Obiee, not DV like.

I think this is a much needed idea. Parameters go some way to solve this, but it is very lacking.

The ability for users to be able to build the view they way by selecting the measure columns used in a table would be so powerful and enable streamlined designs.

This works great for dimensions in the selector of the same data type. In the above referenced YouTube video: Customer Segment, Product Category, City, are dimensions of the same data type - text. However, it doesn't seem to work if the dimensions are of different data type like: Year (number data type) and Product Type (text data type), even after trying to convert year to character.

Is there a way to make the column selector work with dimensions of different data type?

    Thanks!
