Add the Limit Values By option to visualization filters

Right now only the Canvas Filters have the Limit Values By option.

This option should be available for the visualization filters as well.

Use Case and Business Need

When using multiple filters inside a visualization you may have the need to limit their results by one another or not limit their results at all.

There were a lot of cases when users complained that they don't see any values in a visualization filter (this happened because the filter values were limited by default). The Limit Values By > None option will resolve the problem in this case.

You should already be able to do that, it is a bit more flexible and done via the property panel of the on-canvas filters.

Hi Gaby,

I think what you marked in the image above are prompts.

But from what I understood prompts impact all the visualizations in a canvas.

I have the same need, especially for the EPM connection.

With the way the filters work for EPM, we have to disable the canvas prompts to be able to enter the values for the visualization filter.

Hi  Gabby Rubin, Is this function available in OAC 6.0? I do not see it in 5.9.
