Hi,

There is a map view in the canvas. 

It shows the map with various world country names and the employee termination counts for the current year.

When we hover over a particular country, we can see country name and its employee termination count.

We want to permanently show employee termination count on the map without user having to hover over.

Use Case and Business Need

Users want to take a cursory look on the employee term count on the world map.

More details

Currently in the properties of Map view, we do not see Data Labels option. 

In the present case, Data Label is expected for Country Name and Employee Term Count.

If you see any other view like Chart View, we do have such option. We expect the same to be in Map View also.

Hi Nachiket/Samar, thanks for that suggestion, the feature as you are describing it is now part of Oracle Analytics (Sept 2023 update). You can see the demo video as part of the playlist bit.ly/OACSep23Features. It handles both attributes and metrics. Thanks again for your contribution !

    Hi,

    We have raised an SR with support - SR 3-25189656201 : Data Label in Map View in DV

    Oracle support has said that this feature is not available in OAC latest version and suggested us to raise it in Idea Portal.

    having the option to turn on and off the label in the map is a nice feature to have.

    Are you working this enhancement. Could you please provide us ETA if any. It is very critical requirement for us too.

    We need this in OAC Classic Analytics and DV as well.

    Working on a project to convert a large set of map-based Tableau viz's to DV. Viz's currently run on a loop on public-facing monitors (i.e. view-only, no mouse to hover), where maps without numbers overlaid are useless. Inability to add counts as data labels to counties on state map is jeopardizing the project.
