When using Color on a bar chart the values will use an appropriate color for each bar on the chart, however, in Line charts, there is no good visual way to color individual sections of the line because the color applies to the value of the line at the category point. Therefore, when using Color on line charts, points are used to represent the appropriate color where needed. If the chart will have bars only, points will not appear.
In your example, the chart is not a bar chart since you represented some values as Line - the dots are appearing to represent the colors section on the line and are not related to the bars.
We are working on enhancements to the combo chart which will allow applying something like Color only to specific layers of the chart, in addition, we are also working on more advanced conditional formatting. Both will eventually provide a higher level of flexibility.
