BI Components Except for BI JavaHost Component are not starting

Hello,

I tried to migrate the security from another environment to the environment in discussion. Well, there's one change/update I did I guess during the process: Updated BISystemUser password. But apart from that nothing.

Also, please keep in mind this instance in discussion has only OBIEE. I have attached the logs as shown below:

- OBIEE version: 11.1.1.7.150120

- Error Code: [46137] CSF error encountered. Error code: 29106. (I have also cross checked Doc ID 2063789.1 for my issue but in vain).

Your issue is definitely security related. Pump up the logging for security related components as described in this webcast: Advisor Webcast Questions: OBIEE 11g Troubleshooting Log In Problems (contains links to webcast recording and PDF)

Ok but taht's just one part of the error-finding journey. Did you up the logging as I asked you? Slide 36ff

Edit: Also: Are you using WLS LDAP or an external one like MSAD, iPlanet,....?

Yes, I have made changes as mentioned in slides 36 and 37. But, where can I find those log files specifically(paths)? Secondly, we use WLS LDAP.

First read Doc ID 2039815.1 on MOS if you have MSAD - might simply be a security provider misconfiguration!

So the external security provider is ok? GUID config correct and tied to the right attribute? Identity Store config also with all properties set (virtualize, etc)? Seems weird that even with a perfect provider config this doesn't work

Yes, absolutely. I have re-migrated the security just in case again successfully but in vain. The services dont come up.
