How to show decimal places and currency symbol in data output (BI Publisher)

How to show decimal places and currency symbol in data output (BI Publisher)
Content
Hi,
I'm creating a template that has dollar amount fields. I was able to get decimal places and currency symbol in the output with XML code . However, I was wondering if there's a way to handle this at the data model level. If many templates are created, do users need to make the change for each dollar amount field in the template?
Thanks,
Solmarie

You have to prefix the $ symbol and decimal logic either in your query in data modal or are in the template, I believe these are only the options available.Handling it at data modal level seems to be better option.

Can you provide guidance on how to do this at the data model level? My data model is Oracle BI Analysis, the fields are being displayed correctly in the analysis, but not in the data model.
