Can you please advise how we can implement security in DVD?

Is there a server version of DVD where we can control access to data and visualizations based on user roles?

Is DVD a good replacement for Discoverer?

As ​ wrote, DVD is a pure desktop software, no central "server" component is available/needed.

If you need a central component to manage your data access and security profiles then what you're looking for is OBIEE with the security options and the RPD data modelling features.

If you already have OBIEE then you have two options:

- Use Visual Analyzer on top of your subject areas

- Build an analysis in OBIEE and use it as data source for your DVD project
