Align images inline in excel using XSL-FO

Content

Hi,

I have a question regarding the alignment of images inline in xslfo excel output.  I have a use case where i have a right aligned text and i have to append an image on that cell after the text. But the image shifts downwards when i append it after the right aligned text. Is there some way to keep the image inline? ( It happens only for excel, and giving a padding-end is not working)

Thanks,

Anish PR

Its hard to give steps on how you can fix this just from your issue description. When i faced similar situation in the past, using Template Viewer i converted XSLFO template to RTF made changes in RTF as per requirement and when i was satisfied with the output converted RTF back to XSLFO. When you compare original xslfo with modified xslfo you will get some idea on changes you are required to perform.

    Hope it helps.

I am not sure you can raise a ticket, if this is custom template. Share your excel template and sample data(.xml).

I think Excel is not supporting such layout. Thus Excel rendered report is showing differently than e.g. Word or PDF.

Try putting image in adjacent separate column.

We tried testing it in BI publisher using template viewer. But the same alignment issue exist in excel whenever we place an image on the right side of a right aligned text(image goes below) or when two images are placed in a cell (it overlaps). Is it it possible to raise a ticket for this issue? if yes can you please tell me how ?
