ODV 12.2.2.2 - Failed to save Connection - Essbase (Beta) - Admin account not working either.

Hi After upgrading to the newer version i.e. ODV 12.2.2.2 , it still is failing to save connection with Essbase beta, I even tried to create and save connection with my admin account, but in vain.
Does anyone know what might be the real problem!

Hi,
As I managed to connect to Essbase with the earlier version (didn't try with the last one) there isn't a generic global error.
Did you try checking the logs to see if you get some words about the reason? (the GUI just return a generic error)
PS: which version of Essbase? I guess I remember there was some issues with Essbase 12c....

You can find the logs in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Temp\DVDesktop\logs
I would look into OBIS\obis1-diagnostic.log

The 12c Essbase inside of OBIEE is just different enoguh to not work nicely in some instances

What version of Essbase?
And what kind of Essbase is it? (OBIEE one, standalone, EPM ?)

We managed to find the problem its that,ODV doesn't work well with the citrix apps ( i.e. virtual installation), we did the local installation on our server and things started working ok

Thanks Gianni, I checked the diagnostics log file, at one place it says:
Essbase Error 1030818: The client timed out waiting to connect to Essbase Agent. Check your network connections, host and port values, and that Essbase is started.
but there is nothing wrong with Essbase it is working ok., in fact previous version worked ok when connecting to essbase beta.
