Hello

I have the problem that for BI Publisher 12 Version the pdf format shows the special characters as ? (question mark). This was not a problem mit 10 Version. I add also ARIAL UNICODE MS Format to the list of Fonts, but this has not changed anything. The .rtf format is working, only .pdf has this problem.

Can you help?

May I know the platform where you are running your rtf report? Below these are some configuration file needs to be placed for XDO processor for special character specially currency symbol and bullet points.

The BI Publisher Server is an Suse Enterprise Linux (SLES) 11 64 bit. The Application that is using the BI Publisher reports is a APEX Web Application.

Hier is the Fonts Setting in BI Publisher (my reports are RTFTemplate and Output in PDF):

I didn't encounter this issue yet but if I do I would try to update my Adobe Acrobat reader/add-on.

Cause:

In BI Publisher 12C oracle default Albany fonts were missing.

Solution:

Copy the missing default fonts (15 Files) from 11G to the below locations in 12C in all nodes.

ORACLE_HOME/bi/common/fonts

JAVA_HOME/JRE/lib/fonts
