Essbase cube doesn't show members

i have imported Essbase cube in Data Visualization Desktop, but some reason i don't see any members under the folders . any idea why it is showing empty folders.

DV version : 12.2.2.2.0-20170208162627

Essbase Version :11.1.2.4

My first reaction is ... weird: it generally works ...

What kind of cube is it? Does it have some special security or things like that?

Do you have another cube around (even the sample one) to try?

Not even sure you could find some infos in the log file. Never had that (it was more error on connection when using Essbase 12c or just working fine with 11g).

Thank you Gianni, log file shows socket communication error

then i realized in the connection i am using DNS name in connection URL, looks like the communication over DNS name doesn't work . hence i changed the connection to IP Address of the server . it works now.
