Hi,

I tried Connecting Essbase Workspace with Data Visualization Desktop, it shows the following error

" Failed to save the connection.

Invalid connect string / url to external source ".

Can any one help regarding this?

Hi,

Sorry to ask but what you mean by "Essbase Workspace" ?

You can connect Essbase itself (a server) to DVD as source, but just not sure what you mean by workspace in your case.

Hi,  Are you specifying the Essbase port in your DV Desktop connection string ?

Example: https://SERVER_URL:1423

It might be worth checking wether the port is open.
