Using BI Publisher Desktop Template Builder for Word Check Printing MICR Font / Printing Attachments
Summary
Using BI Publisher Desktop Template Builder for Word Check Printing MICR Font / Printing Attachments
Content
MICR Font. I am unable to get a PDF File with the MICR font. I researched this issue and found advice regarding the XDO.CFG file. The advice was dated, as it referenced WindowsNT. (We are using Windows7 and Office 365 with BI Publisher 11.1.9.0. )
I created the file from the XDO Sample CFG file but I still have not been able to get the MICR font to reach the PDF output using BI Publisher.
I added this section to the CFG file:
<font family="Micr MT Regular" style="normal" weight="normal">
<truetype path="C:\WINDOWS\fonts\Micr____.ttf" />
</font>
I made no other changes to the Sample CFG file. Saved as XD.CFG in Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\Config. I feel like I have missed an obvious step. Anyone have advice on this?
2nd issue - Once I solve the MICR Font issue, our checks often have attachments (Overflow Remittance advice on the check stub) I think it will be easy to build a 2nd report for the remittance advice, but I am not sure how to invoke it over the spool file for the check processing. In other words, the Checks will generate first, print on check stock with MICR coding added by BI Publisher, then the over flow remittance advice will follow on regular letter sized paper, preferably on another printer.
