Summary
Gantt Chart Plugin
Content
Hi All,
I am trying to use sample Gantt Chart plugin. I have selected a start date, end date and an attribute. I get an error saying invalid data. Not sure what I am missing. Can anybody point any pointers.
Thanks Deep

I've not used the Gantt plug in before ( the 11th November 2016 one I assume ) so I downloaded and installed into DV 4. Installs just fine, and so I created the simple test case of start date, end date, task ( as an attribute ) in a spreadheet and created the data set. When I goto visualize that trio I get the Gantt plug in as an option. Just like you I also get 'invalid data' displayed. Looking at it as a table the data looks as I'd expect ( 2 dates and an attribute column ) but I can repeat what you are getting - with DV4 at least.

Thanks Mark. I have raised an SR with oracle. Will update if they provide any solution.

Do you have an update? I downloaded the Gantt Chart plug-in v1.0.0.1487044596527 and successfully installed in DVD Version 12.2.4.0.0-20171024214116 but won't render. I receive the same error message.

Folks - Finally have a response that works. Please delete your downloaded Gantt plugin and re-download from the Library again. Place it in the appropriate folderThis worked for me with DVD 12.2.4.
Library link for the plug-in: https://www.oracle.com/solutions/business-analytics/data-visualization/library.html
Plug-in located in: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\DVDesktop\plugins
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the revised Gantt Chart plug-in! It is a bit touchy, you must put the data elements in a specific order to get the chart to render; StartDate, EndDate, and then Task
