  • Data Flows are part of 5.1 snapshots.

  • Thanks Christian.
Do you how to share a data flow between users ?

  • Sorry I misread your question. I thought you meant "export to a different environment".

Right now you can't share data flows. You can share the data sets which are the output of a data flow.

  • Ok.
I Hope this feature will be in a future release

  • Create an SR and demand this enhancement. That's the best way to pressure for a feature release.

  • Hi Loret, Christian

there is actually a way to share Data-Flows today, not ultra-intuitive but robust. When you build a dataflow that you want to export and share, simply do this :

    - run the Data-Flow and create a dataset with it (even if 'dummy' data only)

    - create a project on this resulting dataset (even a 'dummy' project with only one trivial viz)

    - Export this project as .dva file.

Anybody deploying this .dva project will have the Data-Flow (or Data-Flows) deployed on his environment. This will also include the definitions of source datasets and respective connections of the Data Flow (potentially lots of items).

Let me know if not what you meant

    thanks

    Philippe

  • Ah yes that works! Thanks Philippe I hadn't thought about the DVA approach.

  • Great !!! It works !!!

    Many thanks

  • Keep in mind a new capability of exporting/importing only dataflows will ship with OAC 5.4 which is only a few days away at this point.

    Tks
