Connecting Analytics Desktop to Oracle DB - tns error

I have Oracle Analytics Desktop Version 12.2.5.4.0-20191001172151 installed along with an Oracle 12C client. When trying to connect to an Oracle database, I get an ORA-12154 error. Do I need to copy the tnsnames.ora file to a specific location for Analytics Desktop? I have toad installed using my tnsnames file and it works fine.

    Hello William,

    Please make sure that the DB is accessible from the machine where you have installed Oracle DVD and you are giving the correct details ie. Host Name, Service Name etc, you can refer the tnsnames.ora file to get all these details.
