How to increase query timeout in OAC?
Summary
How to increase query timeout in OAC
Content
I want to increase query timeout in OAC. I am getting the error, "“user request exceeded max query governing execution time” and I think this has got to do purely with the default query timeout that may be set in OAC.
Is there a way to increase this, so that, I could get rid of this error?
Thanks,
Chethana

Hi Chetana, you may want to try the below, if you have access to the NQSConfig.ini (customer managed):
Or Oracle support should be able to increase the limit in the config file, if you are in autonomous environment.
And another reason you may be getting this error is because of your source (in our case, OTBI report was actually timing out hence the error in OAC. So you may want to check your source query if that is what you are using).
Hope this helps!

Thanks Prasanna. I'll contact Oracle Support to increase the limit in this config file.
BTW source in our case is fine i.e., the actual query when run in Datawarehourse returns the result without timing out.

Hello Chethana,
For your information, Once your OAC instance gets patched with any of the upcoming releases, you will lose all these config changes.
So its always recommended using the filters in the report to get rid of this error.
Hope this helps!
