How to delete a connection in OAC
I have old connections to databases that are no longer used. I want to delete them but it tells me I can't because some datasets are still using the connection. How do I delete all datasets and its connection? There's no quick way to know which dataset is using which connection so there's no way for me to even be able to find all of the old datasets to delete them. Please help.

You may have to click Inspect on the datasets to note down which connection its based of and then delete the relevant datasets that are mapped to the connection that you wish to delete. Agree its not a easy way to do it and you may want to create a Idea Lab Request for this feature. Exploring to see if there are other options, if I find will update this thread.

If the RPD was converted to support Semantic Modeling, could you not export the models and search the data source connections?

At the moment there is no other way than doing it manually as Gayathri stated.
Please open an Idea for this so it can be turned into an enhancement request as this is indeed a very valuable functionality.

If not wrong, there is a webservice giving all the info about the datasets in a single (or worse case it is paged) json. From there you should easily get all the datasets just by searching your connection.
I don't have it handy and can't fully confirm it contains the required info, but I'm definitely 100% there is a simple way with a piece of script or a manual text search in a json document...

Agreed, this could help identify the data sets affected. The work would still be manual and there's no way the system supports this common housekeeping task at the moment

We are again at missing API for DV objects - there are already Idea created for that :
Hopefully it will be soon addressed.
In OAS, you have to option to query metadata(DV object definition tables) in BIPLATFORM schema (not supported, subject to change).

@Branden Pavol , there is/was a swagger file describing the available services, but I believe the list of datasets should be something like https://<your hosts>/ui/dv/ui/api/v1/dataset/datasets .
I would find them looking somewhere else, but it isn't a documented thing and therefore better to stick to the what is public.
You could script the delete as well, but the API to call isn't really documented and made for public usage, therefore another piece that I'm not going to go into details here.
