Upgrading Siebel Analytics 7.7.1 to OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0

Hello,
Wanted to confirm on the following upgrade path for Siebel Analytics.
Siebel Analytics 7.7.1 -> OBIEE 10.1.3.x -> OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0
I checked in the Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.9.0). In this guide, its mentioned as per the figure below.
I wanted to know, which sections of the guide to refer to for the point highligted.
Also I am understanding that I dont need to follow the Section 1.7 since I am not on any 11g version currently.
Request to please guide me on this.
Regards

10 to 11.1.1.9: http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/11119/core/FUGBI/bi_plan.htm#CACIBFHF
Just one thing: "For Oracle Business Intelligence in particular, Figure 1-1 shows the steps required to move from one release to another, starting with Siebel Analytics 7.8."
Re "1.7": Once you have moved from 10g to 11.1.1.9 you're fine so yes you don't need it.

Thanks Christian for the clarification !
Reg your point on the diagram, you are correct that the starting version is Siebel Analytics 7.8.
However in this document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/b31771.pdf , steps are given if we want to upgrade from Siebel Analytics 7.5.x, 7.7 and 7.7.1 to OBIEE 10.1.3.2
Thats the reason we have decided to follow this path.

Hi Christian,
One quick question : Is BI Scheduler Service required to be up and working on 10g environment ? We could upgrade the RPD and webcat .. however our BI Scheduler service is not coming up. Is it required at this point of time in the upgrade process or we can proceed with the installation of OBIEE 11g ? Please note : 10g and 11g are on same box.
Please guide.
Thanks !

No you don't need the scheduler for upgrading. For runnign the stuff afterwards, yes. But not for the upgrade process itself

Appreciate your quick response !
However , after the upgrade, we would be running in 11g and not in 10g .. rt ? So why would we require 10g scheduler to work after the upgrade ?

No I meant just "the scheduler" in itself. Not the 10g one.
