I've just install Oracle Analytics Desktop 7.5 in Windows 11, as admin. When I open the program, I see a "loading image" only for a few seconds and then, the screen appear full white and I cannot do anything in the program.

  • Windows 11 Enterprise,64 bits
  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10850H CPU @ 2.70GHz  2.71 GHz
  • RAM 32,0 GB (31,7 GB usable)

I've tried install, remove, turn off the computer and turn on, install again with the same .exe file and, in other time, downloading first again the .exe file... but I cannot fix it.

    Hi @User_9XNX2 ,

Did you clear this directory C:\Program Files\Oracle Analytics Desktop before reinstall? If not, could you please try again?

    Greetings  @User_9XNX2 ,

Please take a look at system requirements for Oracle Analytics Desktop to make sure you use a certified OS:

Yes @Harriet Huang-Oracle , I've deleted the directory every time, but it doesn't work

@TetyanaH-Oracle I see my CPU in a little different, do you think that it's the reason?

    Windows 11 Enterprise

    64 bits

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10850H CPU @ 2.70GHz  2.71 GHz

RAM 32,0 GB (31,7 GB usable)

  • Your hardware is way more than the minimum requirement provided, don't worry for that.

There have been a number of people reporting your same case over the years. The always were related to something specific in the user environment (because all our Windows are different in the end, we all install different things etc.).

Is this your first installation of OAD or you had one before and now upgraded?

Does your Windows user name contains spaces or special characters?

    Hi @ User_9XNX2

    You can try below -

    1. Download the latest JRE package from JRE Download.
    2.  Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre*****\bin"
    3.  Run    - jabswitch.exe -disable
    4.  Start the DVD

@Gianni Ceresa It's the first installation. My username in Windows is my name and surname (from email account) but in the folders is LC089686 ("C:\Users\LC089686\")

@Mallikarjuna Kuppauru-Oracle I cannot access this link. Please look the screenshot:

  • So, not the spaces or special characters in the path.

I believe I remember people having had issues also because of existing Node.js installations that were conflicting (paths or something like that): do you have Node.js installed on your Window?

  • Rank 1 - Community Starter

@Gianni Ceresa No, I haven't node.js installed. I've just to check it. (Thank you for all your help)

  • This issue seems to happen if you have java access bridge enabled in your windows machine. To disable java access you need full version of JRE. You can download latest JRE from OTN (I see that the link given above to a km does not work but you don't need km doc to download JRE).

If you already have JRE installed on this windows machine you can try the remaining steps:

    1.  Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre*****\bin"
    2.  Run    - jabswitch.exe -disable
    3.  Start the DVD

    Thanks

    Gayathri
