How to add a trigger that will skip running report if no data returned

I'm running multiple reports throughout the day that will show as failed if there are no results to the report (which is expected sometimes). My analysts have to go and check each report that fails in the event that it failed for a reason other than no rows/results are retrieved in the call. Is there a script or format I can put in the trigger of the report that will make it skip if there are not results?
Thanks!

Can you more precise on the what your "reports" are?
Are they Publisher reports, "classic" analyses or DV workbooks?
And by "running" you mean that they are schedule to send something out?

Hi Gianna,
They are Data Models with XML's that are scheduled to be sent out.

I was thinking that I could add something to the bursting script to stop the report generation if no results were returned but wasn't sure if that was the best route or if a trigger would be better and I wasn't sure the exact way to do either.

Ok, so it's Publisher. Let's move the question in the right category so you can ideally get the right answer :)
And I did see the same kind of question not too long ago (about Publisher). Will try to find it (can't remember in what forum I saw it ....)

I believe what you are asking is similar or related (that answer could solve your question) to https://community.oracle.com/mosc/discussion/4557694/how-to-suppress-bip-output-from-being-sent-by-email-when-there-is-no-data-retrieved-oracle-cloud#latest .
I didn't read what the replies were, have a look in case it matches.
