RPD and excel for Analysis in 12C

In Sample apps when I do add/remove subject area I am seeing both RPD Subject areas and excels to create combined reports. In my environment  I uploaded excel and trying to create combined analysis of excel and RPD subject area, for some reasons I am not seeing added excel.

How does it work ? Can someone throw light on this one?

    Hi Christian,

    I am not talking about " Add source ".

    When I  go to sample apps and click on subject area and then " Add or remove subject areas " I am seeing RPD subject areas and Excels which I can mash up together. I am trying to do the same in my real environment , I uploaded excel through VA and then going to Subject area and then clicking " Add or remove subject areas" I am not able to add  excel to mash up

    If you see the text from the bug

    1. We are continuously making enhancements to the data source feature in

    Visual Analyzer and it is not best practice to duplicate this functionality

    and keep this synced up with the file upload feature in Answers. Answers and

    VA have different architectures and we cannot directly re-use the code.

    2. Mashup feature requires purchase of VA. And data sets uploaded via VA can

    be used in answers. This is the recommended workaround.





    I am not able to use them. I was wondering If I need to do any extra configuration.
