Oracle Enhancement Request: Email Functionality in OTBI Report Results Page
When we try to send the report output using the email functionality from the User Interface (UI), it appears that the filters we applied when running the report are not being reflected in the emailed report.
Steps to Reproduce the Issue:
- Log into the Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence platform.
- Access the desired report and apply necessary filters.
- Run the report and verify the filtered results on the results page.
- Use the email functionality in the User Interface to send the report output.
- Upon receipt of the emailed report, observe that the filters applied in step 2 are not reflected in the emailed report.
Business Impact:
The inconsistency between the filtered report viewed on the OTBI and the report received via email is causing confusion. The inability to accurately represent filtered data in emailed reports is leading to inaccuracies in data analysis, affecting our insights and decision-making processes. This issue is impacting our efficiency and confidence in the data we share and utilize.
Suggested Enhancement:
We propose that the email functionality should include the filters applied when running the report. This enhancement would ensure the emailed report accurately reflects the filtered report results seen in the UI, thereby improving the reliability and usefulness of emailed reports.
