I am quite new to FAW/ADW HCM and have been tasked with creating a new View. I have a few questions please:

  1. How can you view/copy the SQL behind an FAW visualization?

2. Is the correct method to get new data from HCM to FAW to a) create a data augmentation table and b) extend the Semantic model by customizing an existing subject area or addition of a new subject area to allow reporting on augmented data extracted in ADW?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

@JDCal - Please find the answers as below:

In order to get the details of an SQL created for a visualisation, you can check session logs. Please refer the article below for steps/navigation and other details.

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acabi/monitor-users-and-activity-logs.html

For the OOTB content you don't have to create augmentations, but if you have a customized requirement, then the flow described by you is correct to get the data of custom table to FAW warehouse and visualise it in FAW OAC. Thanks.
