Hi All,

I need some guidance on the Administrator Access. I have got a new RPD that I am supposed to deploy for a demo.

But after deployment of the new RPD. I do not get 'Administrator' menu. I cannot create new dashboards.

I deployed old RPD back and I can see the 'Administrator' access.

Can someone help me on this please?

They have 2 different subject areas and business want to create nee dashboards. I need to make sure that the user can create dashboard and they have 'Administrator' access after deployment of new RPD.

1.) Which exact version of OBI?

2.) When you say "deploy an RPD" do you meen the actual 11g deployment of an RPD or the new 12c deployment?

1: OBIEE 11.1.1.6

2: Deployment of fresh RPD to OBIEE instance.

Replacing current RPD with a new one.

Everything else works fine but I cannot create any new folder in Shared Folders, I cannot create a New Dashboard, I cannot access old dashboards.

I want to see the administrator menu to manage privileges, manage catalog groups etc

In 11g an RPD deploy shouldnt affect any privileges or permissions unless your are assigning rights in the even-older-and-deprecated-10g-way throughthe RPD.

Please dont tell me you're doing that

Let me clarify more.

I am launching this from Oracle using SSO.

What I observed is when I launch the link with one responsibility from Oracle, I get 'Administrator' access

But when I launch this from other responsibility then I do not get the 'Administrator' access.

Now I do not think this is RPD issue. Seems this is some configuration issue.

You're launching from inside EBS? Ok that explains things. Nothing to do with the RPD and everything to do with the securtiy integration.
