Add a setting to fix the numbers of bars in a chart and group the rest as "others"
When designing a bar chart I believe it is often better to limit the number of bars in the visualisation to avoid noise. At the same time I would like to maintain insights into the relation to the whole sum. Therefore, I would like to show the top X and then have a bar beneath this with the sum of all not shown items.
For example A bar chart with the revenue of my top 5 customers with a bar underneath that sums the revenue from all other customers. With this graph, I get a direct feeling of the relation between my top customers and the total revenue.
Typically I would always like to limit the number of bars in my visualization so that I have control over the aesthetics of the chart, and this option preserves all the critical information.
