Data Access Security is not working in OTBI when we join Subledger Journals and GL Journals

Data Access Security is not working in OTBI when we join Subledger Journals and GL Journals Subject Areas. However, when an Individual reports are created from Subledger Journals or GL Journals, the data security is getting applied. Request inputs on why it is happening.
