Support for Superscript in RTF Output for BI Publisher

n our reports generated by BI Publisher, we need to display certain text in superscript format—for example, Thai text such as “ผู้ว่าการแทน” (where “แทน” should appear as superscript). Although superscript formatting is correctly applied in the Word template, the superscript does not display as expected in the RTF output. This limitation affects our ability to meet official document formatting requirements, especially in public sector reports, where superscript is essential.
Currently, this issue occurs only with RTF output, while PDF and HTML outputs display superscript correctly. We are requesting enhanced support for proper superscript rendering in RTF files, particularly for Thai text or other languages that require this formatting style.
Business Impact:
This limitation impacts the accuracy and compliance of official government reports that require superscript usage. It results in manual adjustments, increasing processing time and affecting the overall efficiency and consistency of report generation.
Proposed Solution:
We request that Oracle add support for superscript formatting in RTF outputs within BI Publisher. This enhancement would ensure that text formats, such as superscript, display correctly across all output types, reducing manual work and improving reporting efficiency.
This updated version reflects the requirement for superscript in “ผู้ว่าการแทน” with “แทน” in superscript format.
