Maintain carriage return/new lines when exporting with formatting to Excel from Analyses

We have some text fields that include CR/NL pulled into Analyses. When exporting the data to Excel with formatting, the CR/NLs are stripped making the text very difficult to read. I submitted an SR about this and was told that this isn't supported. However, exporting without formatting to Excel maintains CR/NLs. Exporting with formatting should maintain them as well.
