FDI pipeline Configuration Prerequisite

There are some prerequisite steps to be completed in Oracle Cloud Applications for Fusion Data Intelligence:
1.Assign Financial Categories to the Natural Accounts
2.Make the Key Flexfield Segments of your Chart of Accounts BI-Enabled
3.Create Segment Labels for Desired Segments and Map them to BI Object Names
4.Flatten and Publish Hierarchies in Oracle ERP Cloud
Here are questions for which i am looking for help-
Qno-1 The 4th step is not completed in the ERP cloud and have been asked to assess its impact in EPR if the hierarchies are flatten. Additionally, if this part is skipped how it will impact the Subject Areas and Data.
Qno-2 If there are few accounts which doesn't have any Financial Categories defined, what is the impact on data.
here is the link which was used for reference-

Flattening and Publish Hierarchies in Oracle ERP Cloud will not adversely impact OTBI or ERP functionality. Flattening and Publishing hierarchies is required for OTBI as well, without which the hierarchies will not appear in OTBI SA's as well.

@Yogesh Yadav Hi yogesh,1) If pre-requisites were not followed correctly it can lead to incosistencys or missing some levels in fdi hierarchies used in subject areas.
For example there is a natural account hierarchy setup in fdi under segments folder and while drilling down the hierarchy it may lead to incosistencies.
Please refer below document which tells that pre-requisites are mandatory and do not skip any pre-requisites as the name suggests.
FAW - Not Extracting The Natural Account Hierarchy From Oracle ERP (Doc ID 2854137.1)
2)In erp subject areas of fdi if you are creating the reports based on financial categories and excluding some financial categories will show incosistencys in the data as the report query will have sql query filters based on financial categories.

thanks for quick response. I would like to know Flattening and Publish Hierarchies in Oracle ERP Cloud is not going to impact any functionality in ERP . It is not going to have any conflict on OTBI or any functionality in GL related to JE posting.
