OBIEE Changing Static Messages on dashboards

Hi,

I'm investigating how to change the static UI messages on OBIEE 12c.  For example on Dashboard prompts I want to change the text --Select Value -- or the Search... option on the choice list prompts.

I've done a unix based grep search for the static text "Search..." and it has identified the following files which I've changed,  but the changes are not taking effect on the dashboard prompts after a restart.

$ORACLE_MW_HOME/bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/l_en/messages/uicmsgs/obips.searchdropdown.xml

$ORACLE_MW_HOME/bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/l_en/messages/uicmsgs/obiprp.promptcomponents.xml

$ORACLE_MW_HOME/bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/l_en/messages/bscmsgs/obibsc.abstractwatchlist.xml

$ORACLE_MW_HOME/bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/l_en/messages/bscmsgs/obibsc.abstractwatchlist.xml

$ORACLE_MW_HOME/bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/l_en/messages/bscmsgs/obibsc.Watchlist.xml

Anyone successfully done this?  I'm thinking I may need to clear some caching somewhere.
