Expose Workbook Owner to Consumers in Present Mode
Consumers of Oracle Analytics often face a common challenge: the lack of transparency regarding workbook ownership and update details. The current interface does not readily provide a way to identify the owner or access essential information about the last update.
This feature request aims to address this very issue by proposing two straightforward solutions:
Display Owner Information Through a Parameter:
Allow a parameter to be set that reveals the owner's details within an FAQ page or a designated section of the workbook. This approach ensures that consumers can easily find and contact the relevant person without any hassle.
Expose the Inspect Dialog Box:
Alternatively, making the Inspect Dialog box accessible would enable consumers to view metadata, including ownership and last update information. This dialog box could be just a click away, either through a right-click option or a dedicated button, providing quick and convenient access to these crucial insights.
This small but impactful enhancement request is about giving consumers the power to access the information they need and deserve, ultimately improving their overall experience with Oracle Analytics.

Good idea. Display Owner Information Through a Parameter could be useful to use in the footer too. I voted.

@Francis Defilippis If you want the consumers to have support contact details on the dashboard, why not just add it in?
The owner might have no meaning in a real system, especially as content LCMs move from one system to the next or people who happened to create the original are no longer in the company. Therefore, doing it dynamically might not be a reliable solution. Adding a text box as a footer that says 'for questions/support contact XYZ' will be more predictable and can direct users to a 'support team' rather than the individual who initially created or imported the workbook.
In general, we will likely move away from the concept of an 'owner' as it does not have any real meaning from a permission point of view.0
