OOTB Workbooks/Reports in OAC and 'Custom' Financial Categories in ERP Fusion

Currently in OAC, the OOTB workbooks and reports such as EBITDA Analysis derives data from the standard financial categories in the source environment (in this case ERP Fusion) using key metrics. However, when adding values to a standard lookup field in Fusion (considered as 'enhancing an OOTB categories'), this is deemed by Oracle as customizing of a financial category, at which point the standard metrics stop working and the OOTB workbooks and reports do not show any of the desired data. Our team has gone through the SR routes and we are at the point of CEAL engagement but there has to be greater flexibility within FDI and OAC to allow changes to a lookup field and amending of metrics to derive these standard reports, without having to generate entirely new metrics and generating entirely new custom reports in OAC.
