Hello,

I am a Hyperion Planning/EPM Cloud and OBIEE consultant with 20 years of experience. I would like to introduce my EPM customers to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).

However, the OCI free tier only provides access for 30 days. Is there a way to obtain a free demo or development environment for OAC?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Best regards,
Brett

  • Hi Brett, please contact @Miguel Martinez-Oracle on the partner side at Oracle and he might be able to guide you and provide additional information.

  • Not a direct answer to your question, but here's a link to Oracle Cloud Free Tier for those reading along and are interested in a 30 day trial.

I got message from our Head of Analytics And Tech @Version1 - Alex Jennings.

" There is no OACS Partner demo environment.

There is an OACS environment that we pay for from our CC, but I am not really sure on how to get new access as or how charging outside this would work.  We also might be about to lose this as some plank left stuff running on it and it gave us a £10k bill. "

We have 2 OAC customers, and they have testing environment. I can do some testing in their testing enviornment. But I can not do demo on those testing environment for the ne wcustomer. The Oracle Cloud Free Tier is not the option. because we will continutly use the demo enviroment.I will go OAS, thanks Giannai.

  • There is no OACS Partner demo environment.

Here again it is a yes and no kind of situation…

There isn't a free empty OAC instance you can start, prepare your demo, and keep just for yourself as demo environment. But there definitely is a shared OAC environment used to demo OAC features.

But I'm not going to discuss further this topic publicly because it's not for public use being a partners' thing. Ben gave you a contact on the partners side.

  • Hi @Brett Xue , as Ben suggested, please connect with @Miguel Martinez-Oracle , he will point you to a free shared instance where you can access OAC as a partner. As @Gianni Ceresa highlighted, this is a shared instance with many other partners so you may not be able to reconfigure the whole model. But many demos can be ran directly from there already.

    Thanks
