OAS2025: How to 'Disable' NLP aided search. ..(second option 'Shift+Enter' in DV search box)
Hi, we are using OAS 2025, OBIA 7964, EBS1221, Oracle DB on Linux. The new Natural Language aided search feature (that comes as second option (with 'Shift + Enter' or click, for Search, in DV), we are not clear about its capabilities, access level and security and so it appears to be a risky tool to put out for wider user base. As, using NLP capabilities it tries to create an analysis based on searched criteria. We don't provide access to employee's personal data (like marital status, address, hourly rate, etc. etc.) to our users, this information is out there in some of our interfaced, disparate db systems feeding OAS, we are afraid it could be retrieved using this new NLP enabled search feature. Two part question 1) Is there any literature/white paper/ document explaining the capabilities and access level of this feature ? 2) How can we disable it, so that only regular 'Search' is available but this second NLP enabled option (appearing for 'Shift + Enter' or click) is removed. Please advise, any tip is highly appreciated.

Hi Siraj ,
You can disable indexing and crawls
Manage How Content Is Indexed and Searched
You can disable auto insights for datasets in the Analytics Console
Use Auto Insights to Understand Your Data
As for data that is accessible, you would want to restrict this at the source using row level security in the database, or in the semantic model. You can also use role-based filters for datasets..
This is described in the documentation.Understand Your Data Using Insights
In brief, these features do not expose any data that you have not configured to be queried and/or restricted.
